“Nolan covers the draft like a linebacker—head on. When I want to know what’s in a linebacker’s heart, I know I can trust Nolan.”
-Dick Butkus, Pro Football Hall of Fame Linebacker
It’s that time of year again when true football fans turn their attention to the NFL draft, to be held in Philadelphia this year on April 27-29. One of the most indispensable resources for preparing for and understanding what happens in the draft is Nolan Nawrocki’s very personal, detailed, and insightful annual book, NFL Draft 2017 Preview. Regarded in NFL circles as one of the nation’s leading independent draft analysts, spending thousands of hours evaluating talent each season, Nolan Nawrocki’s vast network of contacts allows him to gather intelligence regarding NFL prospects that is unparalleled in the industry. His annual book contains in-depth information on some 350 players eligible for the draft, with the history, strengths, and weaknesses of each player clearly documented.
Nawrocki also quotes other scouts on their opinions of individual players and gives probable draft rounds in which they will be drafted and even some teams they would fit best. He ranks the top ten players at each position on both offense and defense and gives the latest measurables available from both the Combine and individual pro days. Nawrocki led Pro Football Weekly’s draft coverage from 2003 to 2013, then independently took over the writing and research on this book in the grand tradition of the iconic football analyst Joel Buchsbaum.
What the pros are saying about Nolan Nawrocki:
“He knows the entire country almost like an NFL area scout knows his area. Knowledgeable, fearless, and fair.” Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
“Nolan Nawrocki’s comprehensive work on the draft is pure football.” Bill Belichick, Head Coach, New England Patriots
"What fans are saying about the annual NFL Draft Preview “The period between free agency and the draft is an endless wasteland of conjecture and speculation on sports talk radio, TV, and the Internet regarding potential draft picks—who are poked, prodded, and evaluated in minute detail by people who don’t always really know the players’ skills or the teams’ needs. Nolan Nawrocki’s book, coming out days after the Combine is over and just weeks before the draft takes place is perfectly timed to give real perspective on what might happen at this year’s draft…and why. If you’re even considering buying this book, then it’s probably for you.” (Adapted from fivestar Amazon review by “AF.”)

I've been reading Nolan Nawrocki's draft preview materials since he took over for the late Joel Buchsbaum at Pro Football Weekly, and I'm very glad that Nolan has continued to produce this book on his own after leaving PFW. Absolutely essential, in-depth profiles on everyone from first-rounders to priority free agents, with detail and insights you won't find anywhere else. Very highly recommended.

Excellent/informative/interesting. You can form your own opinions basedon the information and opinions given and decide what is important to you. I would like to have a source to watch game film of the prospects and associate it to the evaluations

If you are fascinated by NFL talent acquisition, this is where you start to build your knowledge base each year. It's worth every penny. The amazing Joel Buchsbaum left this earth way too soon, and Nolan Nawrocki took the torch and keeps the fire of superior talent evaluation burning.

Nolan has done it again. I have been buying the draft books since 1978 and it is just as good if not better than the past draft books. I use it to understand the players and predict teams picks. Very informative and descriptive. Uses language that football fans love and understand. Highly recommended
