How rare is Scott Podsednik's drop-off to zero home runs (in 383 at-bats) after having hit 12 last year?

Quite rare indeed. In the history of baseball, there has not been a single player to go from 12 or more home runs in one year to no home runs in 300 or more at-bats in the next year. The closest was Von Hayes who actually went from 17 home runs in 1990 to none in 1991, but only had 284 at-bats in '91.

Not only that, Podsednik has no triples either. How rare is it for a guy with 50 or more stolen bases to have no triples? Almost as rare -- the only player in history is Miguel Dilone who had 50 steals without a triple in 1978. Scotty Pods has 54 stolen bases, making him the player with the most steals in a season without a triple of all time!

An amazing (and dubious) double-zero for Scott Podsednik.
